Scott Ruble writes the following, one line of which made me "LOL"

This week is the start of the Senate Impeachment hearings of Trump that are expected to go nowhere. Democrats, to their own undoing, have blundered this process every step of the way. Nancy Pelosi even said that the Ukraine transcript, that she had not even read, will be the basis for impeachment. Another one of Nancy's “We have to impeach the President" to read what is in the transcript” speeches. As such, even the majority of Never-Trumpers don't take this impeachment seriously and as anymore more than partisanship.

Think about it....if Nancy can get rid of Trump, only Pence stands in the way of her being President.

Below is a history of the Republican Presidents impeachment. The democrats have tried to impeach every President since Eisenhower, and they had a point with Nixon. Poor Gerald Ford was not respected enough to even be impeached, rather he had to settle for being shot at by Squeaky Fromme, one of the Manson girls.

Riding roughshod over logic and facts, along with a Republican senate, no one is expecting anything from this process. Traders are expecting a full acquittal until round 4 starts where Trump is impeached for returning a Blockbuster video in 1984 without having rewound it.

Remember:

No one even knows what Trump is being impeached for, so here are the two charges:

ONE - “Obstruction of Congress” is not an impeachable offense. If anything it is doing their job for them.

TWO - “Abuse of Power” is the second charge against Trump, and that too is NOT an impeachable offense.

Starting Wednesday, both sides will have 2 days each (total 24 hours) to make their opening arguments.

Iranian Women Defy the Mullahs; Western Feminists Nowhere in Sight: Before 1979, Iranian women had freedom. They want it back. Bartok by the numbers

Today, while listening to the piano works of Bela Bartok, which we had been guilty of neglecting, we got to wondering which of the Hungarian master's piano music was most popular, and so we did this analysis, by number of recordings per work.

You can't beat doing the research, for this or anything else to get the true facts -- and, more often than not, some surprises.  This one: the Hungarian's most recorded work is Romanian in origin!  Several artists, including Gyorgy Sandor, and Zoltan Kocsis, recorded his entire keyboard output:  We met both, Orchestra Hall, Chicago, and still revere the memories of going backstage to have the program signed and exchange a few words ith these masters.

Sadly, both have passed on:

Gyorgy Sandor, Hungarian-born American pianist (born Sept. 21, 1912, Budapest, Hung.—died Dec. 9, 2005, New York, N.Y.), specialized in the works of Eastern European composers, notably his countrymen Zoltan Kodaly (with whom he studied composition) and Bela Bartok (with whom he studied piano). Sandor’s nuanced interpretations of Bartok’s piano works were especially praised, and he premiered a number of the composer’s works, including the piano reduction of Concerto for Orchestra, which had been created in the 1940s but not performed until 1985. Sandor’s many recordings included the complete music for solo piano of Kodaly and Sergey Prokofiev.

Zoltan Kocsis, a pianist and conductor who revamped the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra and was internationally known for his incandescent renditions of Schubert, Beethoven and other composers, died on Sunday at his home in Budapest. He was 64.

Geza Kovacs, the Philharmonic’s general director, said the cause was metastatic cancer.

A musical prodigy almost from the time he could walk, Mr. Kocsis was known for deftly playing a vast repertoire. He was widely regarded as one of the foremost interpreters of the intricate music of his countryman Bela Bartok, and played with orchestras in New York, Berlin, Chicago, London, San Francisco and elsewhere.
