That the institutions and people you have placed your trust in have not been worthy, to put it mildly. That your attention has been misdirected, masterfully, but the likes of the CIA, Big Oil, the Eastern Establishment. I've heard this stuff, you have, too, and shrugged it off. After all, America is basically honest, right, the land of the free, home of the brave, apple pie, baseball, and all the rest.
